Reviews and FAQs of Shark Rotator NV501 Professional Lift-Away Upright Vacuum

Last update

Summary

Shark Rotator NV501 is designed for people who need a professional-grade vacuum to clean larger areas because this upright vacuum has a generous dust cup size of 1.5 dry quarts for longer cleaning sessions.

Apart from bigger dust cup size, Shark Rotator NV501 remains all of the benefits of the Rotator series such as Lift-away canister, LED lights, HEPA filter, swivel steering control and more. And because of its bigger cleaning capacity, Shark Rotator NV501 is also more weighty:  its weight is 15.5 lbs (without the cord), so it might be a bit heavy to seniors, otherwise it is a great option for homes with big areas.

Is there a bare floor at tree attachment? If not is there any available to purchase separately

Answer: what is an “at tree attachment”? If you are asking if it can be used on bare floors, the answer is yes

Question: The debris doesn’t go into the dust cup, It goes into the handle. Any ideas why?

Answer: You might have something wedged in the tube which doesn’t allow the dust to get to the bin. I had a bottle cap wedged sideways in the handle so it let the air through but not the dirt.

Answer: I own the nv501 and love it. I vacuum my entire house every day. I have pets and live in a dusty area off of a dirt road in the desert of Tucson, AZ. I am picky about cleanliness. This vacuum does the job! It has a long hose, too, which is great for vacuuming up-high places.

Question: Does anyone use this with power tools? Can it be used with power tools?

Answer:  this vacuum is not designed to be used with power tools.

Question: I have a bad back and can’t bend easily. What vacuum has the long hose attachment?

Answer: This vacuum has a decent hose attachment…it could always be just a little bit longer….and the cord is shorter than my last one.

Question: I lost the little gray circle flip cover on the bottom side, assuming it’s so you can clear clogs. Where can I find a replacement or parts diagram?

Answer: I recommend calling Shark.

Question: does this one and most all of the other models have a light in the front base of the cleaner?

Answer: We would like to confirm that this model, NV501, has headlights on the floor nozzle.
